Title: Gratin Dauphinoise

Yield: 6 Servings

3lbPotatoes
1 Clove garlic; minced
1tbButter
2cHeavy cream
2cMilk

salt, pepper and nutmeg -- to taste

Stir together cream, milk and seasonings. Butter a baking dish and rub garlic into it. Slice potatoes as thinly as possible. Place potatoes in dish, alternating with the milk mixture

Bake in 350 F oven for 1 and 1/2 hour.
